WWE SummerSlam 2016: 10 Matches That Must Happen

6. WWE United States Championship: Rusev (C) Vs. Apollo Crews

Rusev may have had a rough 2015, but the talented big man came out of the League of Nations' breakup looking the best. He won a battle royal to claim a shot at the U.S. Title, then dominated Kalisto to win the belt at Extreme Rules. Since then, he's successfully defended it against Titus O'Neal.

Apollo Crews, meanwhile, got his first main roster feud against Rusev's former partner, Sheamus, but it was a mixed bag. Crews picked up the win in their Money in the Bank match, but it was treated as such a huge fluke that it did nothing to get him over. There hasn't been any talk of a rematch between the two, which had been expected.

WWE should run another battle royal - or at least, a multiple man match - for number one contendership to the belt, and Crews should win, last eliminating Sheamus. That'll put him in line for a match with Rusev, and their dynamic will be exciting - the enormous Rusev is used to bullying his opponents, but the super-strong Crews can throw Rusev around just as easily as "The Bulgarian Brute" can do it to him. When they clash at SummerSlam, Crews will have a response to everything Rusev attempts, and the U.S. Title will find a new home.
