WWE SummerSlam 2017: 8 Things WWE Got Right
7. Big Cass Beating Big Show
No, Big Cass vs. Big Show with the yapping little dog Enzo Amore in a Shark Cage wasn't one of SummerSlam's best matches, but at least the end result was the right one. Had Cass lost to the ageing Show, then he could have kissed goodbye to his main event dreams. For what it's worth, he had to win.
All that really mattered was the end result, because now Cass can (hopefully) move on from Enzo and onto bigger and better things. It's hard to see him winning a title any time soon, admittedly, and yet that's not the most important thing for the remaining months of 2017. Instead, WWE should be focused on crafting the big man's character.
Cass doesn't have a menacing voice, nor does he sound particularly convincing when threatening others on the mic. His in-ring style is also slow as a singles, so that requires work before fans will take him seriously. The journey has thankfully started with a pay-per-view win.
