WWE SummerSlam 2017: 8 Things WWE Got Right

6. Bringing Back Finn Bálor's Demon

WWE had already booked Bálor vs. Bray Wyatt without the Demon make-up on Raw, so it would've been a total disaster to see a plain old rematch at SummerSlam. There's something special about Finn's face-painted character, however. People react to it and treat the Demon like a big deal. That's encouraging.

It was a good move to bring the creepy crawly gimmick out of hiding for the first time since last year's SummerSlam show. Fans popped huge for Bálor attacking Wyatt from the off and using his guise to get under the cult-like leader's skin; it didn't quite resurrect a lame-duck feud, but the 'Demon' didn't hurt either.

Bálor looked like a bigger star with the make-up. Let that be a lesson to you, WWE. The important thing is where Finn goes next though, because he's been treading water a little since returning from injury. Maybe a feud with Samoa Joe would be the answer.
