WWE SummerSlam 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen

6. Charlotte Flair Turns On Becky Lynch

Carmella's bid to defend the SmackDown Women's Title against good chums Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch looks like a handicap affair on the surface. It might be for a few minutes, but not for too long. There's a better, more interesting story for WWE to tell in this one, and it barely concerns the champion at all.

Tuesday nights could do with another memorable female feud outside the title scene, and the brand also needs someone other than Carmella to prop up the heel side. That's why Charlotte Flair, for the first time since moving to SmackDown, should turn heel.

She's the more natural villain than Becky Lynch, after all.

If Becky pushes Flair out of harm's way, takes the hit and then ends up getting pinned, she'd be apologetic in the aftermath. That's when Charlotte would strike, ungratefully smashing her ex-friend for taking her eyes off the prize.
