WWE SummerSlam 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen
7. Braun Strowman Holds Onto His MITB Briefcase
Case in point, Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens.
It's difficult for fans to get invested in the kind of jovial bullying storyline WWE have presented for this pair, and there isn't much worry from Braun's biggest fans that KO will take his MITB briefcase. This match should have been kept for a featured spot on Raw, not a pay-per-view the size of SummerSlam.
That's not a slight on either man. It's hardly their fault the story has been limp, and they've done their best to make it fun. It's been a chore to sit through however, and that's partly down to the fact that top babyface Strowman has come across as a vindictive git who's toying with Owens for the sake of it.
It's impossible to foresee this one topping their Steel Cage effort at Extreme Rules, especially without any kind of proper stipulation. Braun dropping his case if he loses by DQ or count out should (hopefully) be a red herring. He can't afford a bump in the road.
