WWE SummerSlam 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen

Returning tank Dean Ambrose was rumoured to be in line for a heel turn when he recovered from injury, and there's a chance that's still in WWE's back pocket for the second half of 2018. If it's a story they're interested in telling, then Ambrose has to do everything in his power to ensure Seth Rollins has the IC Title.

Why? Well, then Deano has something to take away from his old running buddy.

The belt suits Rollins better than it does Dolph Ziggler at the moment. His eventual split from Drew McIntyre should be more about McIntyre's babyface turn than a championship, and it makes more sense that Ambrose would want a reason for turning his back on Seth. Grabbing the Intercontinental gold would be his justification.

Furthermore, fans will want a big moment to cheer at SummerSlam. If Roman Reigns is going to win the Universal Title (which, granted, isn't guaranteed), then WWE would be wise to give the Barclays Centre a popular face win earlier in the show.
