WWE SummerSlam 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen
4. Daniel Bryan Is "Injured" By The Miz
...because they're not getting one in the Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz match.
Put those pitchforks away for now. The match-stopping angle in question here would lead to ultimate revenge inside Hell in a Cell next month and give Bryan a momentum-boosting win to take on to his next feud. There's no need for WWE to jump head first just because this match is years in the making and they've had to play the waiting game.
Should Miz kayfabe injure Bryan and laugh as he's wheeled away on a stretcher and loaded into a nearby ambulance, he'd look like the biggest piece of sh*t going. There'd then be doubts over a hurt Daniel's ability to shut Miz up next time.
What's the harm in waiting a little longer to see Daniel put Miz in his place? Surely having ammunition for a rematch is preferable to seeing Bryan quickly stretch his mortal enemy in the Yes Lock before moving on. That HIAC stipulation is a bit too tempting for that.
