WWE SummerSlam 2018: 10 Things WWE Got Right

7. Strowman’s Squash

Braun Strowman's near two-minute squash of Kevin Owens was exactly what it needed to be. Any longer, and it would've turned into one of those needlessly back-and-forth matches we see on TV all the time that only exist to fill time.

This, complete with painful entrance ramp Chokeslam and some almighty bumps from KO, should reap sympathy on Owens going forward and did the job of preparing Braun for his re-ascent back to the main event picture. It was a solid piece of business that helped both men despite being a total mauling.

Job done then.

Owens will be able to move on from a feud he was realistically never going to win, and he can hopefully become a more important part of Raw now he's finished chasing (or, more accurately, running away from) Strowman. The feud needed to end, and now it has.
