WWE SummerSlam 2018: 10 Things WWE Got Right

6. Becky Lynch Lashing Out

Becky Lynch deciding to lash out at old pal Charlotte Flair was logical in storyline. It came with one problem though: the Barclays crowd didn't want to boo Becky for battering the new SmackDown Women's Champ, and that pretty much killed her big heel turn stone dead.

Whatever, it can be rescued on the next episode of SmackDown.

The important thing here is that WWE recognised the need for change. Lynch had been super stale for almost two years now, and that just wasn't good enough for someone so talented. By pushing back and stepping out of Flair's shadow, Becky can perhaps finally begin to show some of the fire fans want to see from her.

No more 'best friends forever' nonsense with Charlotte, no more smiley-smiles when she comes out for big matches or is constantly pushed into the background, and no more friendly neighbourhood 'Lass Kicker'. It's Becky's time to show she can become an ice queen to rival the one Flair played several years ago.
