Kofi Kingston has one of the most interesting SummerSlam histories in the entire WWE. Through seven appearances, Kingston has teamed with an incredible six different tag team partners. The sole singles match he took part in was against Dolph Ziggler in 2010, a match that ended as a no contest thanks to Nexus.

Aside from the two matches Kingston has had at SummerSlam as part of New Day in 2015 and 2016 (with Big E and Xavier Woods respectively), he partnered with both John Morrison and Rey Mysterio in 2011, defeating The Miz, Alberto Del Rio, and R-Truth.

Just one year on from this match, Kingston held the Tag Team Titles with R-Truth, defending them at SummerSlam 2012 against The Prime Time Players. After Kofi hit Titus O'Neil with a huge cross body outside the ring, R-Truth pinned Darren Young after hitting the Lie Detector.

Before any of these superstars, Kofi teamed with Mickie James in his SummerSlam debut to take on the team of Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix. In a unusual stipulation, the winning team would take both Kofi's Intercontinental Title, and Mickie's Women's Title.

In the end, Team Glamarella took the titles home after Beth Phoenix pinned her rival James.
