WWE SummerSlam 2018: Star Ratings For All 13 Matches

11. KICKOFF: The B Team Vs. The Revival - RAW Tag Team Title Match

Samoa Joe AJ Styles Star Ratings II

This was almost an in-micro parable of a wrestling match. Don’t invest in The Revival, even though they are really good.

Here’s why:

They’ll bamboozle their dizzied opponents with deft doubles work to such an extent that, after a dragon screw, Bo Dallas’ brain will be as scrambled as his leg. They’ll isolate their opponents by killing one member with their awesome finish and decimating the other with choice limb work. Everything they do, in the context of a match, matters. But that doesn’t really matter.

Then, an advert for a paid subscription service (!) will obscure the creative heat spots with which they get their act over. They’ll dominate matches, in entertaining fashion, and make you less annoyed that you bothered with the meaningless Kickoff show.

And then they’ll get rolled up like a couple of tossers.

The B Team have worn out the welcome that was never extended to their far superior opponents.

Star Rating: *3/4
