On Friday's SmackDown, the 'hair vs. hair' stipulation applied to the match between Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville was amended, with the latter claiming that simply stealing Rose's locks wouldn't be good enough: she wants to end her WWE career.

In other words, the contest now carries a 'Loser Leaves WWE' punishment for the defeated party.

Though no reason has been offered for the last minute change in stip, it seems certain it's been designed to give one of the two an extended break from WWE. More than likely, that's Sonya Deville: the former MMA star is currently undergoing some difficult personal circumstances, following an attempted kidnapping from a stalker last Sunday, and some time off not just for her legal case but also for her emotional wellbeing seems sensible at this juncture.

Of course, this is WWE, and whoever loses could just as easily turn up next week. At Payback, for example!

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
