This writer's inner 10-year old desperately wants it to be 1997-1998 again so he can watch Bill Goldberg rack up win after win. The sad truth is that those glory days are over. No, booking the WCW legend on cards as a retro attraction isn't some colossal disaster, but putting World Titles on him (again) in 2021 would be.

That simply cannot happen.

Bobby Lashley has to motor through Goldberg, give MVP something else to gloat about in promos every Monday night and then find a new rival for the final few months of the year. Those who already think Raw's product is dire wouldn't be swayed by Bill winning the WWE Title and showing up every six weeks, put it that way.

No, Lashley must take everything Goldberg has left to give and then spear him like he's putting an old warrior out of his misery. Then, following that, WWE can focus on the future of Monday nights rather than the past...
