WWE SummerSlam: 8 Reasons Why Brock Lesnar Must Conquer The Undertaker

4. Now Is The Right Time For The Undertaker To Pass The Torch

When Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30, a large portion of the audience assumed that that was it for the Deadman. He had passed the torch to Lesnar in his defeat, giving The Beast the chance to use his newfound mystique to put over younger Superstars on the roster (something he's since done with both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins). Of course, The Undertaker's concussion soured that match somewhat as he clearly wasn't at 100% for the vast majority of it. He no doubt now wants to make up for that by proving he's still got it - which was perhaps the only take away from his recent match with Wyatt - and that's more than fair enough. Even so, now still feels like the right time for The Undertaker to pass the torch to the next generation, and doing so by taking another defeat at the hands of Lesnar seems like the best way to accomplish that. Even if he plans to continue making sporadic appearances for the next few years (for that long rumoured match with Sting for example), this SummerSlam rematch could still accomplish a lot if it's used for The Undertaker to almost open the door to Lesnar taking his position as the WWE's most dominant force and persona. At 50 years old and on an extremely limited schedule, it's apparent that The Undertaker can't or isn't willing to spend time appearing regularly to help get younger talents over. Lesnar on the other hand has a contract on which the ink is still barely dry and plenty of time to help the likes of Cesaro, Finn Balor, and Kevin Owens shine. Should The Undertaker win, the Beast just takes once step closer to becoming just another Superstar.
