WWE SummerSlam Live Review - 10 Interesting Observations You Need To Know

9. New Day...Rocks

No, your ears weren't deceiving you; The New Day really were the fan-favourites in that tag team match. "New Day Rocks" chants started outside the arena and carried on inside, and the response they got was overwhelmingly positive. It could be because Brooklyn is one of those smarky crowds who appreciate how great these guys are despite them being heels, and despite the team's crack about Brooklyn being dirty, they didn't lose support at all during the match itself. The Prime Time Platers - Titus O'Neil in particular -certainly got a good response too, but make no mistake about it, the Brooklyn crowd wanted The New Day to walk out as tag team champions. I was actually surprised just how into the match everyone was, especially as we've spent months watching these teams go at it again and again on Raw. Randy Orton received some great pops for some impressive variations on his normal move set during the night's opening match, and the "You Look Stupid" chants were loud and clear, but the crowd was otherwise quiet for that one. The New Day on the other hand had everyone excited, and the "New Day" chants rocked the building as they stood victorious with the tag team titles.
