WWE Super Show-Down: 7 Nostalgic Nods In The Undertaker/Triple H Match

1. The Undertaker & Kane's Night Of Destruction

After Triple H and Shawn Michaels pulled out some of their old school shenanigans to take out The Undertaker, the Brothers of Destruction decided to do the same. The two monsters sought revenge by attacking the pair after the match had ended, and there was something incredibly '90s about the whole thing.

'Taker and Kane are no strangers to tearing things up, and have done so as recently as 2015. However, this didn't feel like the do-gooder veterans that had returned to right some wrongs and restore the balance (like they have been portrayed in the past). This was much more reminiscent of their heel-like all-out-assaults from 1998.

They stalked and double-teamed Michaels, and most certainly didn't care about the fact that he was a legend or that he wasn't an active competitor. They were cold and callous and, after their work was done, they didn't exit the arena triumphantly, they strutted out - proud of their handiwork.

The fact that the show went off the air before they did their trademark salute certainly suggests that WWE intends on portraying them as the monster heels of this feud - and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Though they're going to be cheered anyway, they may well thrive in revisiting their darkest days as they successfully channelled all the evil traits of The Undertaker and Kane from the late '90s with perfection.
