WWE Super Show-Down: 7 Nostalgic Nods In The Undertaker/Triple H Match

2. End Of An Era V2

After the match was over, the victorious Triple H offered his hand to The Undertaker. Out of respect, 'The Phenom' nodded and allowed himself to be helped to his feet. The two legends then celebrated in the ring together, along with Kane and Shawn Michaels.

The moment was, of course, reminiscent of the three-way hug/celebration that 'Taker, HHH and Michaels shared after WrestleMania XXVIII's End of an Era match. Even though Kane was part of the Attitude Era and still wrestling at the time, he was conveniently left out because it didn't suit WWE's narrative back then, so it was nice to see him included this time around because he really deserved to be there.

It was a little convenient for Michael Cole to recycle the End of an Era spiel, because we all know that this match was only made to sell tickets and not for storyline purposes, but it didn't stop this from being a beautifully nostalgic moment from four men who defined the Attitude Era, and was ultimately a fitting way to end it once and for all.

Then the really good stuff happened...
