A bit out of left-field this one, but according to Joe Peisich on Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast, WWE are trying to engineer an appearance for Kurt Angle on Super Show-Down. Interesting enough in of itself as, well, it's Kurt Angle, but also fascinating as it would be the first sighting of him since Stephanie McMahon ordered him to take a vacation back in August.

Speaking on the podcast, Peisich said: “Kurt Angle, everybody wants to know what’s happening with Kurt Angle. He has been contacted, I just received a text. Kurt Angle may be appearing at the Super Show-Down, believe it or not.”

No real details were forthcoming about precisely what his role would be on the show, but in all likelihood it could be related to Survivor Series. We've heard the odd report that we'll be getting a 5-on-5 for control of Raw rather than between the red and blue brands, and if that's the case it'll likely be a team led by Kurt Angle vs a team led by Baron Corbin. The build-up for this has to start soon.

It's the sort of return WWE usually prefer to reserve for TV but, again, if they're trying to make this show feel unmissable, this would go a long way to helping to do that. Expect to see him in The Hounds vs The Dogs tag match, if at all.
