WWE Super Show-Down: 8 Things We Learned

1. Shawn Michaels Is Coming Out Of Retirement At WWE Crown Jewel

While The Undertaker and Triple H's Super Show-Down collision was initially built on the fact that it was the "Last Time Ever", that would soon play second-fiddle to Shawn Michaels' involvement in the program - something that was more obvious than ever during the match itself. Though there were times that 'Taker seemed obsessed with getting Shawn to step back in the ring, it was Michaels' constant involvement in the match that ultimately cost 'The Deadman'.

This wasn't the same respectful veteran that stood by and officiated the previous clash between 'The Phenom' and 'The Game' and only attacked when provoked. It was more reminiscent of the Shawn Michaels of old, who was willing to do whatever it took to ensure that his best friend picked up the victory. He paid dearly for this when he was the primary focus of the Brothers of Destruction's post-match assault.

If Michaels' major role at Super Show-Down proved anything, it was that the 'Taker/Triple H match was merely a gateway to his eventual in-ring return. Rumours of a D-Generation X vs. The Brothers of Destruction match have been circling for quite some time now, and the ending to Super Show-Down suggests that this will indeed take place at WWE Crown Jewel next month.

Say what you will about HBK returning to action, but you can rest assured that the world will be watching when it happens.
