WWE have painted themselves into a corner by choosing to use Finn Bálor's 'Demon' gimmick in Saudi Arabia this Friday. The element of suspense is removed by Bálor reaching for the face paints. Ask yourself, does anyone really believe that Andrade is walking away from Super ShowDown with the Intercontinental Title?

It'd be a much more plausible proposition if this was plain old Finn, not his alter ego.

Although Andrade's day will come, it cannot be in Saudi. If WWE decide to put the Mexican over Bálor's 'Demon' just to give the show some shock factor, they'll negatively affect that character's allure for future matches. On that note, isn't it weird that Finn chose to bust out the 'Demon' here instead of against Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble?

In storyline, the guise gives him an edge, so it'd have been smarter to use it when he absolutely needed to. This, we're sorry to report, feels like an unnecessary addition to a match that, whilst fun, needed the prospect of an upset title change.
