WWE Superstars "Stunned" By Chris Jericho's AEW Salary?

Y2J stands to make major, major money in All Elite Wrestling.

The billionaire Khan family are throwing major money into All Elite Wrestling: so major, in fact, that the WWE locker-room has been left "stunned" by Chris Jericho's AEW salary.

Per Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, news of the former WWE Champion's AEW deal made it back to his former workplace, and while Jericho's exact numbers aren't known, their circulation led to several people "freaking out."

Meltzer believes that Jericho stands to make money comparable to any top WWE star not named John Cena or Brock Lesnar, and that 'Y2J' also has "a lot of sway" within All Elite.

This may have led to what PW Insider's Mile Johnson described as "a buzz of activity backstage at SmackDown" this week. He reported on his Elite Audio show that WWE reacted to this by taking anyone with less than two years on their contract aside, starting the process of getting them to commit to longer deals.

AEW obviously won't be paying everyone on their roster the same as Jericho, but it's easy to imagine disgruntled WWE stars having their heads turned by his contract: Dean Ambrose, for one...
