A staple of the National Wrestling Alliance during the NWA's heyday, Ron Bass arrived in the WWF and took on the 'Outlaw' nickname shortly before the inaugural Survivor Series PPV.
After being forced to retire from wrestling in 1991 due to a collection of injuries, Bass earned a degree from Arkansas State University and then worked as a salesman in the construction industry. The real-life Ronald Heard passed away in 2017 at the age of 68 due to complications from a burst appendix.
