WWE Survivor Series 2016: 10 Things That Must Happen
9. WWE Don't Send Teams Out There In Brand-Specific T-Shirts
Unfortunately, this is almost bound to happen. In the weeks preceding Survivor Series, Team Raw and Team SmackDown Live members have been shown in those garish t-shirts designed to show brand loyalty. Instead, they actually turn elimination matches into something from high school, where sports teams would be differentiated by colour coordination.
This is WWE, not school. Forcing Braun Strowman, for example, into a Monday Night Raw shirt feels awkward. There's really no need to use the t-shirts at this point, most fans know which wrestlers are on Raw and which ones belong to SmackDown. The whole exercise is unnecessary in 2016.
Historically, Survivor Series matches didn't need colour coding for fans to know who was on each side. WWE officials need to start giving their audience way more credit, those t-shirts just look lame and add literally nothing to each bout.
One compromise would be wrestlers coming down to the ring wearing the shirts, taking them off before the bell actually rings. Then, WWE get what they want and so do the fans.
