WWE Survivor Series 2016: 10 Things That Must Happen
2. Goldberg Vs. Brock Lesnar Is The Main Event
Even though Survivor Series is traditionally all about those elimination matches, Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar is a special exception. This isn't just another match on the card, there's no guarantee that Goldberg will ever agree to wrestle again for WWE. Therefore, his clash with Lesnar needs to go on last.
Throughout the night, both men could be shown warming up for their massive confrontation. Growing in confidence since standing up to Brock on Raw, Goldberg then says in a promo that he believes (for probably the first time without hesitation or doubt) that he has what it takes to beat Lesnar in the middle of the ring.
By contrast, Lesnar is slightly unsure of himself. That sets things up brilliantly for the match, a headline bout WWE can hopefully crow about for years to come. Goldberg, just like Lesnar, is a special attraction. In order for that to be properly presented, these guys must main event.
Naturally, going on last would be demanding of Goldberg. Thankfully, he looks to be in terrific shape nowadays.
