WWE Survivor Series 2016: 10 Things We Learned
1. Goldberg Squashed Brock Lesnar
If anybody tells you that they foreshadowed Goldberg squashing Brock Lesnar in 2016, it's likely they are stretching the truth. At the start of the year, nobody even knew that the former WCW star would be back in WWE, let alone beating someone like Lesnar in less than 90 seconds bell-to-bell.
Brock Lesnar is the man who ended The Undertaker's legendary WrestleMania winning streak, the guy who hammered Randy Orton at SummerSlam. On top of all that, he has even crossed back over into MMA this year, beating Mark Hunt at UFC 200. That aura was thrown out the nearest window against Bill Goldberg.
Hitting Lesnar with a brutal-looking Spear immediately, Goldberg followed it up with another. Then, he snatched Brock and planted him with the Jackhammer. In less than a few minutes, Brock Lesnar had been pinned to the mat by a guy nobody even thought would be wrestling at this stage in his life.
The intrigue is powerful, there is surely another match between both men on the cards for WrestleMania 33. If not, maybe it'll happen beforehand. That's box office magic waiting to happen.
