WWE Survivor Series 2017 Review
A swollen card meant a swollen running time, and with the main feature already threatening a full four hours of in-ring action, the 120 minute matinee was completely unnecessary. Turning up to a party fifteen minutes early is acceptable - you can't account for a joyriding taxi - but knocking on the door with a bag of Twiglets in hand at 5 in the afternoon belies a complete lack of social life. The same applies to anyone who voluntarily watched the usual stream of throwaway pre-show fodder. It was, as ever, completely negligible to the wider picture - even though it included a title match.
The main show began with the frankly alarming sight of no fewer than five men lining up as the announce team, and the very real possibility of the rival commentators breaking out in belligerent song, West Side Story style. You have to question their split loyalties really; Michael Cole and Tom Phillips both traded places thanks to 'personal assignments' in recent months (though they are interchangable), and Corey Graves wasn't even wearing a half-and-half suit like Harvey Dent. Poor show.
