Seeing Roman Reigns jerk the curtain was novel, but there was obviously no suggestion that The Shield's clash with the New Day was serving the undercard (especially since the show had technically commenced at daybreak). Expectations were high; Rollins and Ambrose's tag-team rustiness hadn't shown in contests with The Bar, whilst there hasn't been the slightest hint of verdigris on the unicorn enthusiasts since their switch to SmackDown. How would the Big Dog fit in, inoculated, recuperated, and reinvigorated?

Despite a quickly-corrected Booker T moronically crowing that "there won't be a whole lot of entertainment," it went pretty well as it happened - though there was the constant hint that the Hounds of Justice's bark wasn't always understood by their opponents. Hard-hitting, dramatic high spots punctuated a contest repeatedly undermined by miscommunication, as eventually the match dissipated into a series of 'moments' with little in the way of adhesive. The result was exactly as expected - Rollins and Ambrose assisted a feeble Reigns with the top rope powerbomb for the win - but the journey wasn't quite as fun as we hoped. Too many bumps in the road.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
