WWE Survivor Series 2019: 9 Last-Minute Rumours You Need To Know
6. Triple H Joins Team NXT
It's been a long week for Survivor Series, and somehow NXT still hasn't fully announced who will be on its 5-person teams for either the men's or women's matches. Plenty of speculation of course, most of it centered around the winners of the respective WarGames matches, but nothing concrete at the time of writing.
Bizarrely the only name that has been consistently mentioned is that of Triple H himself. WWE's COO and the man behind NXT has been happy to put himself front and centre of the build to this show, and if initial reports were to be taken seriously it looked like he'd be dragging his charges into Survivor Series as their leader.
It might well still happen (especially if any injuries are picked up on Saturday night), but Hunter has taken steps to deny it. Speaking on the WarGames Media Call he said he has "zero interest" in wrestling in NXT or being on their Survivor Series team. He says he would fight that vigorously. NXT is about the youth and the future. He leaves the door cracked open for the "perfect time," but it's not now.
I mean... you would say that though, wouldn't you?
