WWE Survivor Series 2019: 9 Last-Minute Rumours You Need To Know

7. Elias Returns

Elias hasn't wrestled since beating Ali in a King Of The Ring 2019 Quarter-Final match back in early September. He was then taken off TV with what was reported at the time as being a broken ankle. The actual severity of his injury was never actually established but it's been nearly three months now and he's still not been seen.

But he's been busy lately. Posting a video on his Instagram updating fans on what he's been getting up to, he was bizarrely filmed playing... a piano. His song of choice? Sam Cooke's 1960 hit, A Change Is Gonna Come. A suitably teasing little ditty for a wrestler who is on the cusp of a return, and an especially good one if they're planning on altering their gimmick when they do.

There's a big argument with Elias of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and while his Drifter character doesn't feel anywhere near as fresh as it once did, it's surely way too early to scrub it for something new. However if "a change" simply refers to just beating up on someone he's taken a dislike to, well that works fine too.
