You want to know the problem with having an event built upon nothing but the notion of brand supremacy? Forced conflict. Worse than that, it's contained forced conflict. Forced conflict that has only been designed for the purpose of this PPV so that the creative team can stick a bunch of superstars together to fight for a brand they may not even have been on a number weeks ago so that they face off with enemies who are only enemies because they're on the other brand.

What makes things even worse than that is the fact that, Undertaker celebration aside, there isn't anything else - or, more specifically, any real conflict - on the card. Literally, all we have is the two five-on-five elimination matches and the multiple champion vs. champion bouts, meaning that when Survivor Series comes to an end and one brand is meaninglessly declared victorious, we can finally move back to the real storylines.

A good thing, sure, but it would also mean that one of the Big Four PPVs of the year was completely pointless.
