WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen

Is it the beginning of the end for Roman Reigns at WWE Survivor Series?!

Triple H deserves one almighty pat on the back for reinvigorating a tired Survivor Series concept with the cherished violence festival known as WarGames. No, there won't be any (intentional) blood this weekend, but the old NWA/WCW/NXT gimmick should revive this November tradition's fortunes in terms of general fan interest.

WWE finally decided to move away from the crappy Raw vs. SmackDown format that had been on life support for well over a decade. Nobody cared about that, so it's nice to see Trips try on something different for the main roster by bringing Dusty's old double cage to the party.

On Saturday, several things must happen: The Bloodline must show cracks, Rhea Ripley must continue looking like a badass, WWE must go a pay-per-view without title changes, and the company must book a major return on the women's side that'd help bolster Rhea's aforementioned push.

Then, there's Bray Wyatt. The creepy comeback sensation isn't scheduled for a match on the card, but that doesn't mean he won't leave an imprint, make LA Knight's life a misery and give some other stars a leg up.

Here's everything WWE should do on Saturday night.

10. WWE Adds ONE Traditional Match

Wait, wait, wait - didn't this guy just praise Triple H for moving away from traditional Survivor Series concepts. Sort of. Y'see, the boring as f*ck "brand warfare" nonsense wasn't really the tradition this pay-per-view was best known for. No, originally, it was those 4v4 or 5v5 elimination bouts from the 1980s and early-90s that created a firm fave.

WWE has had a love/hate relationship with them ever since.

Here's the thing: It wouldn't be horrible at all if 'The Game' decided to book one (just one) on the card this weekend. Seeing midcarders like Madcap Moss, LA Knight etc do their thing in a rapid 15-20 minute elimination affair could actually set the tone for the rest of the night.

That's assuming it's the opener. If not, then it could get crowd energy up again following either the routine SmackDown Women's Title bout or the last-minute three-way for Seth Rollins' United States Title. Plus, it'd get some workers a bonus pay-per-view payday.
