WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
2. United States Title: Seth Rollins (c) Vs. Bobby Lashley Vs. Austin Theory
Result: Theory steals the win after Lashley Spears Rollins while he's in the middle of the Falcon Arrow, to win the title (14:50).
Rating: This disappointingly followed the pretty typical, stale multi-person match formula of one wrestler resting while the other two fight, but there was a bevy of creative and imaginative spots to still make it stand out.
The early going did a great job of making Lashley look like a dominant beast, and there were two especially memorable spots - the Hurt Lock/Sleeper combo and Lashley then slapping the Hurt Lock on Rollins and Theory.
The final stretch was thrilling and it genuinely felt like anyone could win, ahead of a smart finish which saw Theory take the win in a way that ensured nobody looked particularly weak. Theory also feels like the best fit of the three for the U.S. Title right now, so no complaints there.
Though the layout was over-familiar, the three men worked hard in a fast-paced bout that proved solidly entertaining throughout and whipped the crowd into a frenzy. 7/10
