WWE: Team GB in World Wrestling Entertainment

So what of the future of British Athletes in the WWE? The current stars on the WWE roster can be viewed as the best group of working Visa holders ever in the company. With WWE seemingly looking further afield for new stars, men and women plying their trade on the British Professional Wrestling Circuit seem to have a better shot than ever at making it to the big leagues of WWE. On top of this, WWE have had more regularly scheduled trips to these shores over recent years. With TV tapings now taking place from the big venues of the UK, you could imagine this will give more local talent a chance to try out in dark matches and impress the WWE brass. With stars also making it in the number 2 Wrestling company TNA, such as Magnus, Doug Williams and Rob Terry, it certainly looks like the British influence will continue to grow in Sports Entertainment. And, like our Athletes competing over the Summer, the quest for more Gold will hopefully push on with this home grown inspiration.
