WWE: Top 10 Evolution Moments

10. A Shocking Debut

In 2003, history was made when then World Heavyweight Champion Triple H, formed Evolution in front of the WWE Universe on Monday Night RAW. Evolution was introduced as not just any ordinary stable it was, as Triple H explained, a physical embodiment of wrestling evolution. The past was represented by the legendary €˜Nature Boy€™ Ric Flair, the present personified by €˜The Game€™ Triple H and the future was symbolised by the young up and coming talents of Batista and more prominently Randy Orton. It was a group of wrestling talent, built around Triple H, but equally built on the premise of achieving greatness. This was a group with a purpose and a meaning, a faction that unbeknown to the then WWE fans would go on to become one of the most dominant factions to ever be assembled in the WWE. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Psfj6cvzB1U A memorable moment illustrating the dominance of Evolution occurred on the very same night of its WWE debut. During the RAW show Randy Orton and Batista were filmed attacking Goldust as they searched the arena for Scott Steiner. After violently assaulting €˜The Bizarre One€™, Orton and Batista would launch Goldust into a live switchboard, and look on as he was subjected to a prolonged electrocution. This act set a precedent for the way in which Evolution would go about its business and epitomised everything that was ruthless in an era known as €˜The Ruthless Aggression Era.€™
