It took place in 2005 during the first round of a Gold Rush Tournament for the World Heavyweight Championship. In that match Shawn Michaels would face the talented Shelton Benjamin to produce one of the greatest matches in Monday Night Raw history. Yet it was what transpired at the end of the match that is most remembered by fans and wrestlers alike. Michaels was left pulling himself up by the ring ropes, meanwhile Benjamin was planning to hit Michaels with a springboard diving move from the other side of the ring. Yet as he committed to the move, springing off of the ropes and launching himself towards Michaels, Michaels pulled himself together at the last minute to deliver Sweet Chin Music to a mid-flight Benjamin. The crowd erupted with gasps of disbelief as Benjamin crashed back to the ring and lay, seemingly unconscious, as Michaels secured the pin to win a match that is remembered not just for the quality of wrestling, but also as the match that showcased one of the most devastating examples of Sweet Chin Music!
