WWE Theory: Daniel Bryan Will Leave WWE This Year

Finally, the prestige of WWE. He’s a grand slam champion who possesses one of the greatest WrestleMania moments of all time. He’s already done it, like realistically he’s got nothing left to achieve there. Contrast to somewhere like New Japan, a promotion he adores, where he’s never got beyond the tag-team division. But, those are all the reasons 'Why Daniel Bryan Should Leave WWE' and I’m here to tell you not why he should, but why he will, and it’s incredibly simple this week. Daniel Bryan Will Leave WWE This Year because… he loves wrestling.

He loves the indy scene and the worldwide reach of the sport. He loves small crowds and new cultures. He sees this is an art form, and he simply can’t indulge in that art in this company. Not to the extent he can elsewhere.

At 37 he has a very small window remaining to go all over the world be the single biggest thing in all of wrestling. No underwhelming inconsistent booking, no trading losses with other under utilised talents, no awkward segments, no barely-bothered house show crowds four nights a week. Just him, wrestling who he wants, where he wants, when he wants.

The combination of a) the current worldwide indy boom and b) his own ability and c) how bloody globally adored he is means no wrestler is or will likely ever be, in a better position to thrive away from WWE.
