WWE Theory: Daniel Bryan Will Leave WWE This Year

But as well as all the reasons Daniel Bryan might leave WWE it’s arguably more important to look at the reasons he might actually stay. Like, why do wrestlers stay in the company for so long? There are very good and very obvious reasons for it.

Obvious reason number 1 is the exposure. It’s the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. Obvious reason number 2 is the money, because they will pay you well and pay you regularly, and reason number 3 is the prestige: it is still the biggest wrestling promotion in the world and, if you’re a wrestler you want to succeed there.

Let’s say you’re Daniel Bryan though. You’re already one of the most beloved wrestlers on the planet who managed to keep himself massively over without even stepping into a ring for three years. He does not need the exposure WWE gives him anymore.

Money? He’s rich as all hell as it is, and could easily, easily earn more on the indies working a fraction of the dates. Promotions would throw ridiculous money to get him without the gruelling house show schedule that comes with WWE. He’d be better providing for a family that he’d actually get to see more of.
