5. WWE United States Championship Match: Alberto Del Rio (C) Vs. John Cena
Alberto Del Rio made a surprise return to WWE at the Survivor Series, defeating John Cena to become the United States Champion. That's about all he's become in his latest tenure with the company - he hasn't gotten over like higher-ups have hoped, nor has his ill-conceived "MexAmerica" gimmick struck a chord with anybody. While Del Rio is a talented performer, he's currently in need of some serious rehabbing. Cena has been off TV since his loss to Del Rio, but he's advertised for a December 19 house show, so a return six days earlier doesn't seem too unlikely. Del Rio can come out at the Pay-Per-View and announce that he's being forced to defend his title, then angrily lay out an open challenge. A returning Cena will shock the United States Champion, capturing the title in a heated match in his hometown. After that, a furious Del Rio can fire Zeb Colter as his manager and bring back Ricardo Rodriguez, the first step in getting "El Patron" some much-needed heat.
