Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch wasn’t quite the barnburner fans had hoped for, but it was a solid outing between SmackDown’s top two females. Unfortunately, this was the one match where the gimmick got in the way of the action, and Alexa and Becky were too busy trying to squeeze table spot teases in to produce a cohesive contest.

The crowd started dead, but they slowly warmed-up to the action. Things got decisively better towards the end, however, and the longer the match went, the deeper Alexa dived into her bag of tricks. She took a leaf out of WCPW’s own Pete Dunne’s book by biting Becky’s hand at one point, but the match’s biggest moment was unquestionably the finish.

Alexa pulled-off a snap powerbomb seemingly out of nowhere. She drove Becky through the table to clinch a highly surprising outcome, and earn her first slice of WWE gold just a few months after her main roster debut. It was an outcome that nobody saw coming, and an emphatic end to the Irish Lass Kicker’s highly enjoyable reign.

Sure, she was aided by the apron, but Alexa’s 5’1”. The sight of her powerbombing the 5’6” Becky was an awesome visual, and it caught everyone off-guard. WWE couldn’t have come-up with a better way to kick-off Alexa’s first title reign, and SmackDown’s Wicked Witch has never looked stronger.
