WWE TLC 2017: 8 Things WWE Got Right

1. Keeping Brock Lesnar Off The Show

There was more than enough going on at TLC without the involvement of one Brock Lesnar. Kurt Angle was wrestling his first WWE match in 11 years, AJ Styles was trading SmackDown for one night only and working a Raw show, Asuka was debuting and the pay-per-view was being headlined by a huge 5-on-3 TLC main event. The Universal Title didn't fit anywhere on the card.

Lesnar wouldn't have had a suitable opponent anyway, because everyone major was already scheduled to do something else. Rather than have Brock run through some enhancement talent or appear for a lifeless promo, WWE smartly kept the brand's top champion away from TLC. Come Raw, he can begin his march towards Survivor Series clean.

Not feeling like they must book a star like Lesnar for every single pay-per-view is a nice position for WWE to be in at the moment. After his match against Braun Strowman at No Mercy ended up being a slight disappointment, WWE should have learned their lesson. Champion or not, Brock doesn't need to be on everything.
