WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (April 27)

4. Super Cena: Round 978

As I've wrote about before, and will continue to write about again: handicap matches are the worst. When they're booked, it's just a no-win situation. If the heels don't win quickly and decisively, then it really hurts their credibility. This almost never happens, though. This week, WWE booked the main-events of both Raw and SmackDown in handicap matches. The more damaging of the two was when John Cena lasted 14 minutes against the entire Wyatt Family and nearly beat them all by himself. I just don't get why that was necessary. Is WWE really that starved for Raw main-event matches that they need to sacrifice the aura of The Wyatts to make Cena look unstoppable again? Also, if Cena can handle all three guys on his lonesome, then what is the purpose of a cage match? He doesn't need to keep those guys out, he could handle them anyway. Fans aren't invested and believe that Cena is in trouble, and it's all the fault of the booking. Bray is doing some fantastic mic work, but it just doesn't matter. Cena has been booked him so dominantly over the years that fans won't buy the fact that a Luke Harper or Erick Rowan could last a few minutes against him. The only way that The Wyatts stand a chance against Super Cena is if they recruit everyone in the crowd who sings along with Bray. Even then, I'm convinced that WWE would book him to win a 7,342 on 1 match.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
