WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (April 27)

5. Man vs. Bull

Raw can be really tough to sit through sometimes. I'm not just talking about listening to the announcers chuckling away as if they were in a sitcom audience. The extreme tonal shifts on the show are hard to keep up with on a segment to segment basis. The beginning of Raw had Daniel Bryan getting destroyed by Kane for several minutes. Later in the night, we watched two little people, one of who was wearing a bull costume, compete to the delight of only one man: Vince McMahon. You know, we've seen plenty of terrible moments in companies like TNA and WCW. But was their humor ever so embarrassingly awful in what we see in WWE nearly every single week? Sure, we had Warrior in a mirror and Judy Bagwell as a tag team champion, but we didn't have things like that on every episode. Well, except for the Vince Russo era in each company. Besides two little people fighting for comedic effect, we had Drew McIntyre, the former chosen one, getting kicked in the balls yet again...by a man in a bull outfit. How much lower can one man sink? That has to be rock bottom for him, you'd hope. Can Los Matadores just going back to being bull fighters and leave the country? Can 3MB go back to their music career and leave the sport? Or can someone in WWE just write comedy that doesn't make you embarrassed to be a wrestling fan?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
