WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (August 10)

1. Adam Rose vs. A Mirror

When I watched a camera magically go inside of Adam Rose€™s imagination to show us what he was thinking about I was a little confused. Not on how something like that could possibly be recorded, but what that mirror had to do with anything. It wasn€™t until later that I read it was supposed to be the Oculus mirror from the movie Oculus. Now, maybe I€™m an idiot (let€™s just leave that possibility open), but I didn't pick up on the connection. I just saw Rose in another idiotic skit and cried like I usually do afterward. As we witnessed, Rose€™s worst fear is wearing a suit, having Halloween ripoff music playing, and seeing himself as a €œlemon.€ It was corny, cheesy and completely unfunny. WWE likes to do comedic segments, but imagine watching something like that on Saturday Night Live. The sketch would have bombed. People would have been fired. The show probably would have been cancelled forever. It was one of those segments that made you embarrassed to be a fan, and erased one of your good wrestling memories from the past. I can no longer remember Daniel Bryan winning the title at WrestleMania XXX. That€™s how awful it was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHc-bpXBhKQ When the video feed cut back from inside of Adam Rose€™s brain back to the announcers shouldn€™t Cole, Lawler, and JBL have been in shock from what they just saw instead of laughing? They just saw something that had never happened in the history of the world, and all they could manage were some forced chuckles. Somebody should smash that mirror over their heads! Or I'd settle for a slap. Where's Del Rio when you need him? Time to kick out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
