WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (July 13)

5. Nikki vs. The World

WWE.comWWE.comWWE wants us to feel bad for Nikki Bella, but after all the years of her being evil it feels like she€™s finally getting what she deserved! Yes, that happens with every face turn, but usually the heels that turn into sympathetic characters were actually over in the first place. Nikki never really was popular with anyone except for management, and now fans are struggling to care and creative is having trouble finding ways to make us outraged. Raw gave us a one arm tied behind the back match with Nikki vs. Alicia Foxx. For starters, the ref struggled to tie Nikki€™s arm for a good dose of awkwardness, and then it just resulted in a beatdown. On Main Event, the embarrassment continued as Nikki was forced to wrestle a 5-on-1 match. The logical question to ask is why doesn€™t she just quit? Unlike say a John Cena, an Orton, or a Natalya, Nikki isn€™t presented as someone who eats, sleeps and breathes wrestling. She has no title aspirations that she€™s ever spoken of, she just wants to star in a an awful reality TV show and marry Cena. Speaking of which, why doesn€™t her boyfriend ever stick up for her? That must be awkward when they get home. Her sister's husaband Daniel Bryan at least sticks up for her. And they dare call Cena the greatest champion of all time?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
