5. TNA Forgets Their Own Slammiversary
There are nine matches scheduled for TNAs Slammiversary pay-per-view, which is basically the companys version of SummerSlam. You would think that the company would actually want to promote all of their matches on the go-home show since that is a way they can make money. If you held this belief, you would then be mistaken. TNA appears to not be in the money making business. Sometimes it's hard to tell what business they are in. For starters, we should cut the company a little slack as the main event of MVP vs. Eric Young is now off due to an injury to MVP. However, James Storm and Mr. Anderson didnt even show up to promote their match on Impact. Austin Aries wasnt there either either to talk about his opponent Kenny King. Sanada didnt put over his X-Division title defense, and neither did any of his opponents. The Von Erichs who have a match on the show werent even mentioned. Don't worry, The Menagerie had plenty of time for their act, despite Knux not having a match at the pay-per-view. What also makes the card for Slammiversary confusing is that Crazy Steve is getting a shot at the X-Division title. This is the wacky clown man who has a record of 0 and 1 in televised matches. How is that good enough to get a title shot? My TNA record is literally better than that! For the companys twelfth anniversary celebration this will be a good time to look back and reflect and also to wonder how 11 of the wrestlers from last years show are no longer with the company, and guess how many wont be around next year.
