WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (June 22)

3. Bobby Lashley, Your New TNA Champion

If you€™re looking for a man whose wrestled less than 30 matches since 2010, has only one facial expression, is mediocre in the ring, can€™t even cut a decent promo, and looks absolutely ridiculous in a baseball cap, then Bobby Lashley is a great choice for a World Heavyweight Champion. If those are not traits you€™re looking for, then Bobby Lashley is not a very good choice for your champion. Sure, Lashley may be a better pick than Eric Young for TNA€™s top guy. Young was a mid-card comedy act for far too long to ever be taken seriously. Most fans believed (rightfully) that the only reason he was ever given the gold in the first place was because of his passing resemblance to Daniel Bryan. It was clear that it wasn€™t working with Young, as his main events on Impact were drawing scary low ratings and also because fellow babyface Austin Aries was receiving far more cheers than he did at Slammiversary. Now that Bryan has been stripped of the title, it was only a matter of time before Young was title-less too. Perhaps the reason to give it to Lashley is that he€™s one of the few people left on the roster that TNA hasn€™t mis-managed beyond belief. Jeff Hardy is playing dress up, Magnus has been emasculated, Abyss is a joke, Bully Ray is too busy threatening murder upon his boss, Mr. Anderson still thinks he€™s in junior high, and too many others have been let go from the company over the past year. With this revolving door of exchanging the world title around, expect Jessie Godderz, Rockstar Spud, and Hector Guerrero to be your next three champions. They've earned it!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
