WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (June 8)

1. The Shield Dies

Goodbye Shield, it was fun while it lasted. You will be missed. Ever since the debut of the stable, they were among the most entertaining acts in all of wrestling. They were cool, exciting and fit together perfectly as a unit. Due to Raw€™s recent low ratings, Vince McMahon panicked and turned Seth Rollins against his friends. Now we all knew the group had to end someday, but it feels at least months too soon, and without the right storyline to support such a big decision. Sure, Rollins turn was shocking, but by the time SmackDown came around, it was clear that creative had not developed a reason for it. Shouldn€™t that have been thought of beforehand? Are we just supposed to believe that after nearly being murdered by Hunter the night before with a sledgehammer Rollins received a text message from his boss offering more money and he gladly accepted? After all, Evolution wasn€™t exactly setting the world on fire since their return. Batista has been a flop, Orton has been a complete afterthought and HHH is badly overexposed. If anything, they should have been the group to disappear. Instead, HHH needs to justify eating up 30 - 90 minutes of TV time per week and needed someone cool to keep him relevant. Time to kick out!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
