WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Mar. 23)

7. Santino And Emma

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUWZiYRRqgU Santino and Emma are the Gigli of wrestling romances. In NXT, Emma was/is over. The fans love to join in with with her trademark awkward dance routine, and a good time is had by all. On the main roster, a good time is had by none. She doesn't seem to have quite caught on yet. Part of the reason is that WWE has done a lousy job of making us care about her, or let us know who she is. The other reason is that she's stuck with the kiss of comedy death known as Santino. This guy has proven to be absolute poison to the career of anyone he's paired up with: Maria, Beth Phoenix and Vladamir Kozlov. Poor Kozlov. Hopefully Alexander Rusev is studying his career closely as he'll be teaming with Santino by year's end. But anyway, for the time being, Mr. Sock on His Hand is holding back Emma from gaining any momentum. On SmackDown, their relationship went to a new level. A new level of awfulness. Santino talked about a disastrous date they had, which was thankfully not aired. He then admitted his love for Emma to a make-up artist and to the cameraman right in front of him. Emma snuck up behind him, he screamed and hit the floor. They knocked heads, and then he ran off in embarrassment. I'm not saying there's anything inherently wrong with a 35-year-old man dating a 25-year-old woman, but in this particular case it should be illegal. If only The Big Bossman were still with us to prevent this crime.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
