WWE To Oppose The Revolt's Trademark Filings
The former Revival could be in for some legal wrangling with WWE.
The tag team formerly known as The Revival will have a fight on their hands if they are to secure trademarks for a couple of terms they applied to lock down earlier this year.
WWE has filed to oppose three of The Revolt's recent trademarks, the first of which is "No Flips, Just Fists," which Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood applied for on 18 February 2020. The Revolt had intended to use this phrase for merchandising purposes and other wrestling/entertainment-related activities, as they had done in WWE, though their former employers began the process of opposing this on Thursday.
Vince McMahon's promotion has also gone after "#FTRKO" and "Say Yeah," which The Revolt had applied for in January and February respectively.
WWE has been granted a 90-day extension in order to prepare their opposition on all three terms and now has until 26 August to get it all wrapped up.
This story comes following news earlier this week that WWE is opposing Cody's trademark filings for former WCW properties "Slamboree" and "The Match Beyond," with the company granted 90-day extensions there as well. They are yet to pursue "Cody Rhodes" and "Dusty Rhodes," however.
