4. Ultimate Warrior Vs Hulk Hogan - WCW Halloween Havoc 1998
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SSb77DXhFs Proving that sequels aren't always a bankable box office, this Warrior Hogan effort in WCW was dismal. Whereas Steve Austin was tearing it up in the WWF, this match that belonged in 1990 was an indication of a worrying future for World Championship Wrestling. Both men were past their sell by date, unable to move on from their past glory. In the egotistical mind of these 1980's megastars they were still the hottest names in wrestling. The action was poor. Over selling was the biggest problem, both men acting as if simple armbars were the most painful thing ever. They were working the cartoon style in a new gritty era - it didn't work anymore. With this being WCW there was the usual level of screwyness, with Big Show getting involved at one point. Everything was mistimed. Warrior's clothesline of Show over the top rope looked so fake. Execution and accuracy were lacking, making the visuals of the action seem plain silly. Following more interference, this time from Eric Bischoff and Horace Hogan, Warrior was put down with a chair to the back. That was enough for Hulk to score the pinfall. This match sums up the problems prevalent in WCW at this time - too many old timers hanging on and overdone angles ruining the product.
